CSOM Library Services


Full access to databases, indexes, full-text, and other digital resources can be found at the Medical Library website and from the CCNY Libraries home page.

First time users: Please visit the CCNY Science & Engineering Library, in Marshak Science Building J-29, to register your email address and the 14 digits barcode number on the back of your identification cards.

Interlibrary loans: 

ILLIAD (Interlibrary Loan) is a service through which CCNY faculty, students and staff may request books, articles and other library materials not available at the City College.

Before using ILLIAD, you will need to register and create your own username and password.

 

  • Harris Hall has a study room center, accessible 24/7, dedicated to all students of the CUNY School of Medicine/ Sophie Davis Undergraduate Program in Biomedical Education, and the PA program.  It has one large open space for studying, 15 computer stations, 3 study-group rooms for collaborative study for 8 to 10 students, and 7 smaller rooms for 1 or 2 students each for quiet study. 

  • Harris Hall Study Rooms for Medical Students Only: CSOM’s Harris Hall renovation created 20 small-group teaching rooms each with 8--16 person capacity, on the second floor. The rooms have smart technology to project, share, stream and download information, and also serve as study space for medical students ONLY when otherwise not in use.

  • The Cohen Library dedicates floors 4 and 5 to quiet study and floors 2 and 3 to collaborative group work - 80 public workstations

  • The reading room and the lounge on the main floor of the Architecture Library are for quiet study; on the mezzanine level two group-study rooms for up to 14 people each, accommodate collaborative work - 11 public workstations

  • DSI Dominican Library’s main floor is for quiet study - 5 public workstations.

  • The lower floor of the Music Library is available for group study; the main floor is dedicated to quiet study - 14 public workstations. 

  • The Science/Engineering Library has a dedicated group study room for 14 people, and the entire main reading room is reserved for quiet study - 14 public workstations.
