ClinicalKey Mobile Access: Download the ClinicalKey app for IOS or Android Devices

Instructions to download the mobile app for ClinicalKey

Please note: You will need a ClinicalKkey remote access valid account with a username and password. You have only one type of an account: a remote account) 

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the App Store on your mobile device.
  2. Search for 'ClinicalKey' (for the ClinicalKey NOT the “ClinicalKey for Nursing” app) or  “Clinical Pharmacology” app).
  3. Click to download/install ClinicalKey app (this is a free of charge app) for your android or IOS device (NOT the “ClinicalKey for Nursing” app) or Clinical Pharmacology app).
  4. Select the Global app
  5. Enter your username and password used for remote access for ClinicalKey (Remember you only have one account now -- City College -- CUNY, Remote Access - ClinicalKey for both mobile device access and computer standalone access.

After completing these steps, you will be able to start using the mobile app. The index is designated by the 3 parallel lines If you click on it you will be able to browse: Books, Journals, Drug Monographs, Etc.

ClinicalKey Remote Access from the medical library website on a standalone computer

To access ClinicalKey remotely by using a mobile device requires for you to create a registration ID and password for remote access, using an institutional email address with domains:@ccny.cuny.edu; @citymail.cuny.edu; @med.cuny.edu

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Click 'Register' in the top right corner of the page to create a user profile/personal account using your institutional email address. 
  2. Complete the registration form, and click 'Register'.
  3. A 'Registration Successful' message will appear and an email will be sent to the institutional email address you entered in the registration form.
  4. Open the registration confirmation email, and click the link provided to activate remote access.
    Please note: The activation link expires 72 hours after you receive it.
  5. You will must select every time you login in ClinicalKey the following account if you have registered for remote access: City College -- CUNY, Remote Access - Clinical Key  
  6. A confirmation message will indicate activation is complete 

 

After completing these steps you will have remote access.

ClinicalKey Mobile Access --Instructions for students written by a colleague

  1. Log onto CUNY medical school library
  2. Use proxy/portal to enter Clinicalkey
  3. Register account using school email
  4. Once registered click on request remote access on drop down menu when logged in (send remote access email to school email used to register account)
  5. Download app
  6. Open email link for remote access
  7. Return to app and enter the account information
